Mary Crawford, Mansfield Park

Mary, you ARE alive! I'm glad to hear that you have made it back safely from your travels! Where did you go? Was your journey filled with adventure? Romance? Enlightenment? You must tell all or else I might explode. --MD

Yes, I am alive! I do apologize for my long absence. Henry and I have been all over England visiting almost every seaside it has to offer. For Henry it was work and for myself it was quite interesting. I tried things I never imagined I could or would ever try. Marianne, I went fishing! Can you believe it? It was a most invigorating experience. You must try it.

Romance? Well we will have to have a private discussion or two for that one my dear.

We do have to get together again my dear, for I have so much to tell.

Miss Mary, how lovely it is to see the return of your presence once again! Marianne and I are quite thrilled that you have returned! I shall inform her and Miss Kitty of your return. For we are residents at Longbourne for the next week or so! Kitty has promised us that the Militia are returning, and she is so eager! I hope you and your brother are both well at the present, we have missed you's so! Sincerely, Miss Elinor

Miss Elinor! What a treat! Two letters in my box! I do hope that Henry will soon join us. Oh! Do give Kitty and Marianne my love! For it has been ages since I have spoken to either of them!

Henry and I are very well. He sends his love to you all. I hope you all are in good health. I hope to see you all very soon!

Dear Mary, I hope all is well with you, for Marianne and I have seldom heard from you or your delightful brother. We have grown quite worried about your extended absence. All is well at the moment. Mr. Ferrars has now discovered the delights of Tumblr, and I am simply overjoyed at his arrival! I hope you shall return so that amy introduce him to you, for he has heard so much about you! Yours, Elinor Dashwood.

Dear Elinor, oh how long it has been since we have last spoken! I have missed our conversation very much. I do apologize for Henry and I’s absence. We have been travelling these past few months. I had all but forgotten about tumblr, but not my friends of course! For it was Henry who suggested I come to check in with you all. I was so happy to come and see a letter from yourself.

Your Mr. Ferrars is now on tumblr? I shall have to greet him immediately. I cannot wait to make his acquaintance as I have heard so much about him.

At long last!

We have our wonderful almost brother: Edward Ferrars!

Marianne means to say, that she shall have a wonderful almost brother and I a loving husband!

Madame, I am quite fond of dancing! Especially when there are so many young pretty ladies to dance with. I think it may be hard choosing a wife unless there are not many single ladies. Tell me, if I were to attend Colonel Brandon's ball, would I have the pleasures in being your partner for a dance or two?

It will make many a young lady smile to hear you love to dance. For I am sure there are many young ladies who will be quite happy to dance with yourself, Mr. Adams. As for myself, I would love to dance with you.

I thank you for your invitation, Madame. I would love to join your party and I think I shall visit as soon as I can. I hear rumor that Colonel Brandon is to host a large ball quite soon. If I am invited, then I will make my visit to your estate soon afterwards.

Well, it seems as though our large party shall soon be leaving. My brother and I however will be glad to welcome you to Mansfield. Is he to host a ball? I have not heard anything from him in a while. I do hope he does. For it would be quite wonderful to see everyone together to dance.

Are you fond of dancing?

Ah, Mansfield I hear, is a very lovely. Perhaps one day, upon your request, I may come and see the place myself. I am doing very well, Madama. Thank You.

It is quite lovely. We do have some very beautiful walks.

I would like nothing more than to have you visit us at your earliest convenience, sir. We have quite a large party currently and it would be our pleasure to have one more person join our party.

Miss. Crawford, I thank you very much for following me. I am Charles Adams and I live between Meryton and Hertfordshire. Very close to the Bennets; I'm sure you know them. I've had the pleasure of recieving a letter from Miss. Catherine Bennet just a while ago. Pray, how are you?

It was no problem at all, sir. I am glad to see a new character has joined us in our little community.

Yes, I am very well acquainted with the Bennets. For Miss Kitty Bennet is currently visiting me here at Mansfield. I am doing very well, sir. I hope you are well?

askkittybennet replied to your post: Miss Mary, Where have you gotten off to? I have not seen a single soul, apart from Miss Elinor in the last few days. I do wonder what this “surprise” is…

I fear, Miss Mary, that I am engaged to visit my sister and her sons in Newcastle on Saturday. I shall be quitting Mansfield early Saturday morning. I do hope I do not miss the surprises!

I will be very sad to see you go, my dear. I hope the surprises are ready by the day after tomorrow, so i do not think you shall miss the fun. I do hope you may have room to take the gifts I have bought for your sister and her two sons.

askelinordashwood replied to your post: askelinordashwood replied to your post: Dear Mary,…

Do not fret, dear Mary! I knew you would return, therefore this knowledge soothed any anxiety and worry! I am very well, and have been in perfect health since my recovery. Pray, you and Henry are well too?
I am very glad to hear you are doing so well! Perhaps we may take a turn around the grounds later this afternoon? I am very well and Henry is as well, though he is a little busy at present but he should be wrapping up things in a day or so. Then he may return to Mansfield, I hope.

askelinordashwood replied to your post: Dear Mary, Have you seen or spoken to my dear sister? For I have not! I am worried about her. Pray, once she is discovered, may I propose a day in town shopping? For I am in dire need of a few new gowns! I know Marianne and Kitty would enjoy the venture, that is if you are willing! Pray what secrets do you detain from Kitty and I, we are curious to what you and Henry plan! Affectionately, Elinor.

Of course I can forgive you, mary! Business in London always takes longer than one initially thinks! Kitty, Marianne and I were beginning to grow worried at your lack of presence! We are overjoyed at return!
Oh, my dear! I do apologize for making you worry at all! I hope you have been well? I hope my lack of communication did not make you too uneasy.

My dear Kitty. I am terribly sorry. For I have been quite occupied for the last few days, running many errands. I know my brother has been called into London with my uncle on some very urgent business, but as soon as he returns, we will be glad to finally be able to share with you all the surprises we have been planning!
